CONSERVATION THROUGH RECYCLING

It is estimated that each city dweller produces 1 – 2kg of waste per day and up to 695kg of solid waste, such as garbage, paper, tins, broken or worn out devices plastic and packaging materials a year. It is expensive to dispose of all this waste transport systems must be put in place and is used as a dumping place.

Recycling reusable materials had many advantages, but also causes many problems. Recyclable materials, which can be used again must first be recovered from normal municipal refuse.

Certain methods are followed, such as shredding, magnetic separation of metals.

Paper such as cardboard, newspaper, magazines and packaging must be collected and separated. Lower grades of paper, must first be cleaned and bleached, to remove the ink from paper, chemicals must be added. Other methods of treatment follow. Paper is shredded and pulped, pressed and dried to create “new” reusable paper. In this way, forests of trees are conserved. Recycling paper also produces fewer pollutants.

As you can see, recycling waste products is a must for today’s society. Recycling has economic advantages and has become a big business, saving and making money, creating jobs and opportunities. It will also create a cleaner environment and minimise pollution.

SO! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, LET US MANAGE YOUR WASTE NOW.
